Same again for the Blues

Stranraer will list the same squad that ended Rangers' run of 15 straight wins when they grabbed a draw at Ibrox on Boxing Day when they welcome Ayr United.

The Blues continue to miss the injured Chris Aitken (ankle) and Marc Corcoran (hip) as they look to consolidate their play-off spot.

Manager Stephen Aitken said: "A win would keep us in third place and open up a four point gap on Ayr. More significantly it would see eight points between us and Stenhousemuir in the race for the play-offs.

"Our last performance against Ayr was terrific and we won 6-3. A repeat of the standard we hit that night would be terrific."

Ayr United travel to Stair Park with a full squad and Martyn Campbell is ready for action following two months out with a broken metatarsal.

Player/manager Mark Roberts is unlikely to make chances after two wins and two clean sheets in a game where revenge is not his motivation.

Roberts explained: "The 6-3 game was a bit of a freakish one but I am not interested in talk of revenge. They won and we didn't so you move on and try and win the game the next time you face each other.

"Going above them into third is a much greater motivation than something we cannot change."
