Stranraer V Brechin at Stair Park - Match Preview

One back for Stranraer

Stranraer have striker Armand One available again after illness to give manager Stephen Aitken a full squad to choose from as they host Brechin City.

The Stair Park boss has targeted a potential move up to eighth place in the table with a win over the Glebe Park side.

"When I took over I said I wanted to lift us off bottom place and we have done that," he said. "Now I want to get to eighth and a win in this game could do that if Ayr go down to Alloa.

"We played well down at Queen of the South for an hour and they lost a couple of poor goals. If we can play to a high standard for 90 minutes we are in with a decent chance."

Brechin City welcome back defender Jonathan Brown from a knee injury as they make the long trip.

The Glebe Park men climbed back into a play-off place in midweek and manager Ray McKinnon wants to remain there at the expense of a much-improved home side.

McKinnon said: "Stranraer defeated Alloa in their last home match and that tells me all I need to know about how tough this game will be. There are no easy games in this league but now that we are back in the top four we will be doing our best to remain there.

"I faced Stranraer in my first game in charge but they changed managers shortly afterwards and that has given them a lift. They are very dangerous opponents."
