Stranraer V Forfar at Stair Park - Match Preview

MacGregor back for Stranraer

Stranraer could ensure Second Division survival with a win over Forfar and defender David MacGregor returns to boost their chances after more than two months out with a knee injury.

Ryan Borris is available after a ban for the Blues, with Stair Park manager Stephen Aitken saying: "We need to go out and get the win and then worry about results elsewhere after that.

"We beat Forfar 4-1 in my first game in charge back in October and a repeat of that would be tremendous.

"However, we struggled at their place last month and lost 3-1 so we know we have to play well.

"The fact that they need the points as well to keep an interest in the promotion play-offs makes this a very difficult game."

Forfar are without defender Odmar Faero for the trip after he sustained a knee injury in training.

Faero joins Mick Dunlop (knee), Stephen Tulloch (pelvis) and Martyn Fotheringham (ankle) on the sidelines.

Forfar sit a point outside of the last remaining play-off place, and boss Dick Campbell said: "We are a point behind with two games to play and I have been in this position before in my career and came out successfully.

"I watched Stranraer in midweek and felt that they should have beaten a decent Brechin side so I know how difficult this game will be.

"I am hoping that my front two players Chris Templeman and Gavin Swankie will grab the goals that will see us get the three points."
