Clyde 1 Stranraer 1

Clyde scored in the 90th minute to salvage an unlikely draw, although it has to be said that they enjoyed most of the territorial advantage without looking particularly dangerous in front of goal.

The game was 17 minutes old before the first shot was fired on goal, and Stephen O'Donnell put it high over the crossbar. This prompted a spell of Cyde pressure, and a good move between Chris Higgins and Dougie Imrie was stopped by a good piece of defending.

Although Clyde were on top at this stage, it was Stranraer who went ahead after 27 minutes following the game's first corner. Stephen Payne took the flag-kick and Stephen Swift out-jumped the Clyde defence to head the ball past Paul Jarvie.

The visitors gave themselves a scare when an attempted clearance by Brian Gilfillan went towards his own goal, but fortunately for Stranraer Alex Keddie was on the line to clear.

Towards the end Clyde moved central defender Craig McKeown into the attack to try and create some danger in the Stranraer penalty area. Eventually substitute Steven Masterton put the perfect cross into the right and McKeown produced the equaliser with a flying header.

Stranraer might have snatched a win in injury time, but fortunately for Clyde Ian Harty sent his finish over the bar.
