East Stirling 0-2 Stranraer- Report

Stranraer closed the gap on Third Division leaders Arbroath to just a point by winning 2-0 at struggling East Stirling.

A goal in each half from Scott Agnew and Armand One kept the visitors' promotion bid on track as the hosts slumped to a fourth consecutive defeat in which they have failed to score.

Agnew put Stranraer in front four minutes before the break, firing home from 12 yards after Stuart McColm's header fell nicely for him.

One almost doubled their lead after 64 minutes but Michael Andrews produced a fine save to keep out his close-range header.

The home side were unlucky not to be level 14 minutes from time when Kevin Cawley's strike rattled the post.

But One sealed the points 10 minutes from time when he was on hand to convert from close range after a corner from Agnew led to indecision in the East Stirling defence.
