Kevin Cawley scored with five minutes remaining as 10-man Alloa came from behind to beat Stranraer 3-2.

Alloa initially took the lead in the 2nd minute through Ryan McCord's placed penalty after Cawley was fouled by Stranraer goalkeeper David Mitchell.

The home side hit back after 17 minutes when Christopher Aitken swept home Craig Malcolm's headed pass from close range.

They went in front 10 minutes before the break when Sean Winter powerfully headed home from Nathan Shepherd's cross.

But Alloa hit back with a header of their own, when Ross McCord's pinpoint cross was nodded in by Ben Gordon on the hour mark.

They faced an uphill task five minutes later when Ryan Caddis was given a straight red card for a foul on Shepherd, who had to be substituted minutes after the challenge.

Despite their numerical disadvantage, Alloa snatched the points late on when Cawley collected the ball on the left of the area and smashed the ball into the bottom corner.
