Stranraer can't stop scoring

Stranraer made it 10 goals in two games as they beat Annan Athletic 4-2 thanks to braces from Stuart McColm and Christopher Aitken.

Aitken opened the scoring for the home side with a superb 25-yard free-kick but Annan levelled when Scott Gibson thrashed home his third of the season from close range just before half-time.

Ten minutes after the re-start Stuart McColm restored Stranraer's lead with a clinical close-range finish.

Annan were gifted their second equaliser of the afternoon when Frank Mckeown handled in the box. Aaron Muirhead placed the penalty past the despairing dive of David Mitchell.

McColm's brilliant 20-yard effort made it 3-2 before Stranraer sealed the victory with a penalty. A foul by Peter Watson on Michael Moore allowed Aitken to send his effort down the middle to net his fifth of the season.
